Borrow smart.
Herd makes it fast, easy, and safe to borrow a device when you need to.
Ask the right person.
A security guard, law enforcement, a fellow student, a peer, or a parent with kids.
Say“I lost my phone. Can I borrow yours to tell someone where I am?”
If they say no — it’s not a problem. Someone else will help.
Have them open a browser.
Say“My contacts are in a safety app. Can you open a browser? You can watch; it’s quick.”
Let them hold their phone, enter the web address, and push the contact buttons if they want. Only first names, nicknames, or initials will be visible.
Sign out when you’re done.
Tap Sign out or close the browser. If you forget — we close it for you.
Say“Thanks!”
